宇宙の火のような誕生と氷のような死から、生命はほんの一瞬だけ輝きを与えられるのです。

This is the percentage in which life as we know it can exist in this Universe.
Our Universe will spend most of its time cold, dark and empty. In the end time will become meaningless. Nothing will happen and it will continue not happening forever.
From the Universe’s fiery birth and icy death, life is given only a brief moment to shine.

地球の未来
地球の温度が安定したのはちょうど1万年前のことで、この安定期を「完新世」といいます。
海の水位も安定し、初めて予測可能な季節と信頼できる天候を手に入れました。
この安定が基本で初めて文明の発達が可能となったのです。
完新世は私たちが知る限り、現代世界を支えることができる唯一の状態なのです。
しかし、完新世はすでに過去となりました。
今は人間が地球環境と気候に重要な影響を与えているため「人新世」の時代に入ったとされています。
私たちはわずか50年で、過去1万年の状態から地球を追い出したのです。
人類が今、そして今後数年間でやることは、今後数千年、そして地球の運命にも大きく影響を与えることとなるでしょう。
この作品を通して地球の貴重さを改めて考えさせられたらいいなと思います。

FUTURE OF OUR PLANET
The temperature of our planet stabilized just 10,000 years ago, and this period of stability is called the Holocene. This stability was fundamental and for the first time civilization was possible. The Holocene is the only state of the planet we know for certain that can support the modern world as we know it. 
But we have just left the Holocene behind. Scientists recently declared that the Holocene has ended and that we are now in the Anthropocene, the age of humans, because we are now the primary drivers of this planet. In just 50 years we have managed to push ourselves outside of a state we have been in for the past 10,000 years. What we do now, and in the next few years, will profoundly effect the next few thousand years and ultimately the fate of our planet.
